"The comparison is apples to oranges – the FairTax is a national program and is comprehensive in tax restructuring. The Splost – with whatever letter it begins with – is just an add-on sales tax, with no redeeming economic factors. The State of Georgia needs true tax reform – a state fairtax program – which would provide economic stimulus enough to supply funds for any infrastructure needs without having to play favorites or give exemptions.
